Garlic and Beef Fat Flat Breads

These beef fat and garlic infused flatbreads are guaranteed to up your bbq game this summer. Made using our 100% organic rendered beef fat, mixed with garlic and parsley, this is our version of garlic bread, done better. It's the perfect base for any protein of your choice. On this occasion we've topped our flatbreads with natural yoghurt, slow cooked pulled beef and pink pickled red onion for some added zing.

Ingredients

  • 350g Self Raising Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 350g Natural Yoghurt
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Bunch Flat Leaf Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Borough Broth Beef Fat

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour with the baking powder in a bowl
  2. Add the flour onto a clean surface and make a well in the middle
  3. Add the yoghurt to the well and slowly add in the flour from the sides using your hands
  4. Once the flour and yoghurt is roughly combined, knead the mix until it forms a smooth dough
  5. Divide the dough to make eight even balls, then shape and roll each ball into a round circle with a 1cm thickness
  6. Fry each flatbread in a dry pan, cooking them for about 3 minutes each side. You'll know they're cooked when they start to form bubbles on the surface
  7. To make the beef fat and garlic mix, melt the beef fat in a pan
  8. Add in the minced garlic and cook for a minute, making sure not to burn the garlic
  9. Take the mixture off the heat and add in the chopped parsley
  10. Brush the mixture onto the cooked flatbreads, add your chosen toppings and enjoy!
