These crispy beef noodles with Wilderbee's gochujang hot honey is everything you want from a noodle bowl. Think sweet, salty and crispy goodness with a little bit of heat. And the best part is that it only takes 25 minutes to come together so it's perfect for a quick wfh lunch or easy week-night dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 250g beef mince
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 15g ginger
  • 1 tsp onion granules
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp five spice
  • 1tbsp gochujang paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp Wilderbee's gochujang hot honey
  • 2 nests of egg noodles
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 bunch Coriander
  • 150g Pak Choi
  • 2 Pouches Borough Broth Beef Bone Broth

Instructions

  1. For the crispy beef, heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large pan or wok. Then add the garlic, ginger and chilli flakes and fry for 2-3 mins on a low heat, until the garlic and ginger just start to turn crisp, but be careful not to burn them.
  2. Add in the beef mince and stir to combine with the garlic and ginger, cooking until the beef has browned. Add in the onion powder, garlic granules, five spice, half the soy sauce and the hot honey. Continue to fry until the beef has caramelised and is nice and crispy, then remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In a separate pan, cook your noodles according to the packet instructions.
  4. Clean your pan/wok, put it back on the heat with the remaining oil and add the spring onions, gochujang sauce and stir together.
  5. Then add in the noodles along with the remaining soy sauce, sesame oil, mirin and the remaining Wilderbee hot honey.
  6. Add the pak choi and two pouches of bone broth, then stir everything together and simmer until the liquid has reduced and the pak choi has softened.
  7. Add back in half of the cooked crispy chilli beef, reserving the remaining half until the end.
  8. Once cooked, turn off the heat and add the remaining crispy beef mince on top, as well as the coriander.
  9. Top with a drizzle of the Wilderbee hot honey for a sweet and spicy kick.
