Chocolate fudge smoothie

You can also enjoy this as a hot drink; just blend and then heat in a small pan with a little water to make it a more “drinkable” consistency.

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana 

2 florets of frozen cauliflower 

½ cup of Borough Broth Co. Free-Range Organic Chicken Bone Broth

½ teaspoon miso paste 

½ cup hazelnut milk (we used Innocent)

1 tablespoon lucuma

1 ½ tablespoon cacao powder

¾ teaspoon maple syrup 

2 dates (or dried figs work too)

1 teaspoon maca powder 

1 tablespoon almond butter (we used Meridian Organic Almond Butter)

optional protein powder – we used chocolate plant based protein powder for post workout

Method:

  1. Pop all your ingredients into a smoothie blender such as a nutribullet or similar and blend on high.
  2. Pour into a bowl and top with your favourite toppings such as fresh fruit, seeds, granola or nut butter.
